If you’re anything like me, you love spending time scouring Pinterest, Instagram and your favourite magazines for kitchen design inspo.  We’ve been talking about a kitchen renovation and I know when the time comes, our first stop will be Improve Canada. The country’s largest home and reno improvement centre based in Vaughan features over 350 unique showroom and 43 different kitchen vendors.

Before you start to design the kitchen of your dreams, think about –

What’s your style? Since your kitchen should reflect your aesthetic and style – are you more modern? Or do you prefer a traditional design?  Cottage inspired kitchens are also popular. You might also be into a transitional style or prefer sleek lines with traditional touches.

Budget. How much are you willing to spend on your home renovation project? Do you have a buffer for contingency? What are your must-haves and what could you live without?

Now that you’ve answered those questions, head over to Improve Canada to start planning and designing! To kick-off your visit, I recommend mapping out the vendors you’d like to visit. You can book one-on-one consultations or peruse the facility stopping by the various kitchen showrooms. Here’s a helpful guide to get you started –
